Youth Travel Media Corps

The idea
Establish a solid corps of journalists in grades 5-12 who travel around their community and beyond sharing news from their perspective.

What's Next?
1.Developing a curriculum which would incorporate multi-media training.
2.Develop a staff of high school, college, professional media to instruct training.
3.Reach out to people who could connect youth to the areas they should cover.

Going forward...needs, supports?

  • Develop media forms to showcase these works
  • Provide advance opportunities for those who excel (scholarships, internships, covering high profile events)
  • Funding to purchase equipment, travel, etc.
