Darren Burden

I work for Fairfax Digital http://www.fairfax.com.au/, the digital arm of Fairfax Media http://www.fairfaxmedia.com.au/ Australasia's leading media company. I'm the director of news and sport in the digital media division with commercial responsibility for two of Australia's leading news site (leading in traffic and in revenue) smh.com.au and theage.com.au as well as two pure play online only media sites Perth and Brisbane, watoday.com.au & brisbanetimes.com.au. I have an Arts/Science degree with majors in Journalism and Computer Science - and I started out as a web producer on theage.com.au in 1997 - the day Lady Di died. I'm also a member of the Digital Business Advisory Group for PANPA - the Pacific Area Newspapers Publishers Association, a print industry body.
